Valle de Cocora

located in the central cordillera of the Andes (quíndio Department of Colombia) - "Cocora" was the name of a Quimbayan princess, daughter of the local chief Acaime, and means "star of water".

I wish I could capture the towering height of these ginormous Quindío wax palms, Colombia’s national tree.
