Santiago
Nothing is as eccentric as your first impressions of a new city. Santiago felt cool, educated and suffered. And above all, it is surrounded by the indescribable grandeur of the Andes. Santiago felt like Tehran in a way that is hard to explain but easy to feel. Both sourrounded by mountains that seem to hold the city in their arms. But it’s not just the mountains. It’s the mood. In both cities the people resist, not just in the streets, but in how they live.
